With 1000’s of hours of flight time and a coveted ATP pilot’s score, Evan Dick has flown many plane varieties, together with traditional fighter jets just like the L-39. However even he wasn’t ready for the uncooked uncontrollable, energy of the F-104 Starfighter.
“Its power-to-weight ratio is simply ridiculous,” he says. “I may inform, with the afterburners, it was going to be probably the most difficult plane I’d ever flown. It was like a missile with a person on it.”
