The Great Tennessee Air Show drew thousands of spectators for dynamic, high-flying performances over the weekend for a sold-out event.
U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headlined the event.
“I love the air show and I love the Thunderbirds. That’s why we’re here,” said Todd Ellison, of Murfreesboro, a U.S. Air Force veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom who travels to air shows across the country. “It’s the noise. It’s the smell of the jet fuel. It’s the speed. The technology is amazing.”
The lineup included some spectacular performances from military aircraft demonstrations like the U.S. Navy F-35 Team, An EA-18G Growlers and the U.S. Special Op Command Parachute Team.
Other performers included U.S. National Aerobatic champions Mike Wiskus of Lucas Oil Air Shows, nine-time winner Rob Holland, and Mike Goulian (Red Bull Air Races Champion), as well as Gregory “Wired”…
