
UPDATE as of 1:11 p.m.: A representative of Alaska Airlines confirmed that flight 2256 from Tri-Cities Airport to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport stopped in Yakima after a flight attendant reported possible sparks in the galley of the plane. Officials confirm that there was no fire or smoke on the airplane and that the stop was cautionary.
Passengers safely deplaned and no one was hurt or injured in the incident. An Alaska Airlines maintenance team is investigating to get a better sense of what caused the issue.
