Ukraine needs to develop a state strategy to support domestic airlines in connection with negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has stated.
“We must intensify work and shape a state strategy to support domestic air carriers in connection with the negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is important to complete this process as soon as possible so that Ukrainians receive safe and high-quality services,” Shmyhal said at a meeting dedicated to the development of domestic airlines, Ukrinform reports referring to the Government portal.
The Prime Minister stressed that the financial capacity and stability of domestic airlines are a guarantee of available air transportation for Ukrainians, increasing tourist demand and a stimulus for the development of the economy as a whole.
